This book is similar with the previous one, it compiles many short stories by Edgar Allan Poe. Stories like The Tell-Tale Heart, The Fall of the House of Usher and The Black Cat are among them.
Overall, I prefer the previous book to this one. But, it's not entirely bad. Some stories are interesting and some have arguably absurd ending, which is not bad.
If I have to pick one, my personal favorite is The Black Cat story. It tells a story of a wealthy man who loves taking care of pets. He lives happily with his wife and his pets, until his alcoholism takes over his life and changes his personality, turning him into a cruel and abusive man, not only towards his wife, but also toward his pets. This story is very frightening and has a lot of mystical sensations to it. And there's a cat in it.
I can't wait to read more and more of Poe's stories.
