Endless Night's story was about an adventurous young man named Mike and his newly married wife Ellie. Their fateful meeting at the land of Gipsy's Acre leads to them buying the land to build their own house there. But Gipsy's Acre was not just any land. People around it said that the land was cursed and anyone who lives there would have terrible deaths. The couple insisted on living there despite all of those stories. Their new lives started with nothing but happiness, until an unexpected tragedy came in front of them.
Now, this book is definitely a great story with all the thrills and mysteries that make us questions what the heck is going on with the plot. Its horror vibe kind of remind me to another great story by the writer, And Then There Were None. But unfortunately that's only making the former looks pale in comparison to the later.
That being said, I enjoy reading this book. It's maybe not the writer's best story, but it's worth a read nonetheless. It has compelling storytelling and interesting characters and, of course, a plot twist in the end. The only thing I found kinda annoying is that I feel like they're dragging the story a little bit too much in the beginning until the near end. It makes a good climatic build up to the story, yes, but I think it doesn't pay off that much.
