Pet Sematary is a horror/thriller/mystery book by Stephen King, first published in 1983. The story follows Louis Creed and his family who move into a new house in Ludlow, Maine. Their new life is shadowed by the existence of Pet Sematary, a graveyard for children's pets, in the woods behind their house. Jud Crandall, their new neighbor told Louis about the history of Pet Sematary and the evil force that lurks in that place. Louis' life take a turn for the worse when their family cat was killed by a moving truck and he decides to bury its body in the depth of Pet Sematary.
This book is a classic horror story that ages really well. The writer's signature storytelling keeps the theme -- death -- alive throughout the book. The book effortlessly plays with your mind and makes you wonder what you would do in the same situation. It's really relatable and out-of-this-world at the same time.
The conflicts and ending are excellent. You think you know what's going to happen, but you're still not ready when it actually happens. Overall, it's good good stuff.
